Because digital is also a girl’s thing!

With the Digital Girls ER project, the Emilia-Romagna Region and Art-er, with other universities and organizations in Emilia-Romagna, organize free Summer Camps aimed at female students of high school. The aim is to bring them closer to the world of information technology and programming, thus helping to tackle digital gender gaps. We at Absolut have the task of supporting the organizers with punctual and diversified communication actions, aimed at ensuring maximum participation in courses and raising awareness of the importance of involving women in the information society.

A multichannel and “natively participated” strategy

The assignment begins with the development of a multi-channel and “multi-stakeholder” communication strategy, designed to be implemented not only by the direct promoters of the project, but also by other partners and stakeholders. Among others teachers, experts, and the participating girls themselves. To ensure the maximum dissemination of information, and to count on the direct involvement of the protagonist of the initiative, with the aim of making communication as engaging and “in first person” as possible.

The website: information and awareness

The first communicative action consists in the creation of the site dedicated to the project, within the portal of the Digital Agenda of Emilia-Romagna: a reference point that reports all the service information functional to the presentation of the courses, provides details on the modalities of participation and registration, and in addition, with a timely editorial activity, publishes news of interest on the relationship between women and digital. A further contribution to the work of raising awareness about the values that innervate and inspire the entire project.

Releases, conferences, and interviews: 360° press office

In parallel with the creation of the website, a press office activity contemplates the elaboration of press releases, support for the organization of conferences, and PR actions with the press, functional to the realization of radio and television interviews with the project’s spokespersons.

Digital girls, and even social

Last but not least, the promotion of the project also takes place on social channels, with the management of Facebook and Instagram profiles, where we relaunch the news and other information contents published on the site. In addition, on these channels we promote a timely and widespread activity of community management and animation, aimed at intercepting groups of teachers, animators, parents and girls potentially interested in the training activities. To ensure maximum participation in the courses, with very flattering results from the point of view of enrollments from the first weeks, and to disseminate as much as possible the knowledge of an initiative and its relevant purposes.
